. The HORIZAL technique

The ATLAS guardrail’s patented fastening system is characterized by its molded aluminum base, which is easily adjusted in three dimensions from the top of the slab. This technique ensures a rapid and easy implementation of the guardrail, while compensating for any masonry imperfections.
The part under the slab is made up of a very rigid section of an adapted length (concrete’s resistance, public or private area, etc.) without any visible yoke and is usually fastened by a single, completely hidden stainless steel screw.

. A suitable solution for rehabilitation

Damaged slabs sometimes require the replacement of traditional fasteners (on or in the slab nosing) by a hooking technique only on the still healthy lower surface.
Embedded at a large distance from the slab nosing, the ATLAS guardrail fastener does not embrittle further the masonry.
This solution, which protects the fastener better from humidity while freely entirely the upper surface of the slab, is highly suitable for the rehabilitation of old buildings.

Most aluminum guardrails are fastened on the slab or in the slab nosing. The patented ATLAS model offers the innovation of fastening the guardrail under the slab.
This technical solution completely frees the space on the slab and offers a product which merges with the nosing of balconies, regardless of their condition.
In fact, traditional fasteners are often unsuitable because of the aged condition of some masonries which require a hooking into the only part of the concrete still in good health.
In addition, the ATLAS guardrail, which is easy to bend, is ideal for modern, new or renovated architectures and adapts to any configuration.
